ASOS – Order No.01 Review

PRODUCTS:

  • 01 French Connection Pompei Contrast Toe Ballet Flats

The material is very soft. It fits true to size to a little large. It’s a little wide for me at the heels. I bought size UK 3, which is the same as size 5.  The only slight problem I have with the ballet flats is that you can feel the black plastic lining when you walk.

  • 02 ASOS Contrast Bow Bandeau Bikini Top // ASOS Contrast Bow Hipster Bikini Bottom

I bought size UK 8, which is the same as size 4. The material is stretchy so if you’re in between sizes, you can go down and it should be fine. My only complaint is that the bows don’t stay in place. The bottom bow sticks out at weird angles and I have to keep adjusting it to make it look normal.

  • 03 River Island Stripe Bikini Brief

I bought this in size UK 8 as well. I have another bottom that’s UK 10 and the fit feels the same to me.

  •  04 ASOS Crochet Ruffle Underwired Bikini Top

This is in size 34B and it fits true to size. I really like this top. I love the ruffles and the crochet detailing is amazing. I don’t find it too frilly or poufy.

REVIEW:

ASOS is an online fashion and beauty store that carries a huge assortment of clothes and brands. I love shopping at ASOS because they offer free shipping worldwide and they always have great sales. Also, the site is very easy to use and it lets you know which items are low in stock. This is important because items go out of stock fast!

Customs & taxes! This is almost everyone’s biggest concern when shopping online! I have ordered from ASOS multiple times before and I mean A LOT! I try to split my orders so that it’s under $20.00 to avoid customs. However, this doesn’t work when you have a coupon because they only allow one coupon per e-mail.

I have gotten charged customs two times and both of those times I’ve ordered shoes. (This order is one of them.) The shoeboxes made the order very “big” and large packages tend to get hit by customs. However, I’ve ordered shoes from them before and didn’t get charged customs. So like I mentioned before, it’s random.  Also, the delivery took so long because it went through customs.

I recommend that you separate your orders to be less than $20.00 if possible. Also, try to make sure that your order doesn’t come in a large package by separating shoes or anything that’s large, heavy or bulky from your order into separate orders.

    1. I paid around $50 for them. I find that ASOS overprices certain brands like French Connection so I stalked the shoes till a coupon came out :)
